Dhobi wallas, or laundry workers, are an occupational caste found throughout India. In Ft Kochi, there is the Dhobi Khana laundry house where all sorts of laundry is scrubbed, beaten, washed, dried and ironed on a daily basis. Some of the workers have been there 50 years.
