An inside look at a salt factory in Phnom Penh. Sea water is piped in from the coast near Kampot many miles away. It is boiled in vats fired by burning rice hulls to evaporate the water thereby producing salt crystals. Once drained of water and dried the salt is bagged up in large sacks ready for distribution.
